I had a very eventful day on Sunday. #EssenceStreetStyle and #29Rooms were on the agenda and it was raining and kinda chilly so it made for an interesting day.
We didn’t stay at Essence for very long since we accidentally booked #29Rooms on the same day and had to be there during a designated timeslot. However, to be honest, the short time at Essence worked out totally fine. There were lots of vendors selling their wares and I didn’t really want to buy anything because I’m on a budget for the next few months. We perused several booths and my friend bought a few things and then we headed out.
I read social media later and apparently the entrance into the venue was very unorganized and they had people waiting outside in the rain for a while before they were allowed in. I’m not sure if they just didn’t expect the immense crowd or if the rain put a damper on planning but it seemed like people were not happy with the overall organization of the event. When we walked out to head to the next event, the line to get in was OUTRAGEOUS. I definitely told my friend that if we had to stand in that line I would’ve said forget it and just forfeited my $25 ticket.
But anyway, on to the fashion. I wore a rose gold moto jacket from ViciDolls, a black-and-white striped crop top from Forever 21, an amazing pearl tulle skirt from Necessary Clothing and my trusty pearl Zara boots. Ok, I really need to hear, what do you think of this look? I took a bit of a risk with the skirt. But, I think it turned it out well! I got lots of compliments on the skirt so I think it was a hit. However, I didn’t really like any of the pics that I took at Essence so here are just a few of the scenery and the fashion in the venue. I’ll have better pics of my outfit in the #29Rooms post which will be up on the blog in a few days. Come back and check out that post because it will be filled to the brim with goodness! xoxo - Ashley
