First post of 2019!!

I’m almost to my year mark for this little ol’ blog (anniversary: March 2019) and I honestly can’t believe it. It’s insane how fast time moves when you get older. You seriously look up and you’ve aged like 6 years and you can’t remember where the time went. What have I been doinggggg?? Lol. It’s crazy to think that I’ve been considering starting a blog for at least 7 or 8 years and I finally did it in 2018 ANDDD I’ve almost made it through my first year.

I put a lot of pressure on myself. I always want to be the best at everything I do. Of course, I realize that that’s impossible but I certainly strive for perfection and hope for pretty damn good. I definitely don’t feel like AceTheLook is where I want it to be so my word for 2019 is EFFORT. I already spoke about some specific goals for the blog in the last post so I won’t bore you with the details again but the net net is that I just want to put more effort into this baby of mine. It’s challenging to work a very demanding full-time job (I’m an Account Director at an ad agency!), have a social life, rest and find time to relax AND manage a blog but I know I have the tools (and most importantly, the tenacity) to make it happen.

So, here’s to focusing your time and energy (and cash) on the things that make your heart flutter. Here’s to carving out the minutes and hours that this thing requires to make it a success. Here’s to holding myself accountable, building a schedule to live by and being more strategic about what I want to achieve. I’m looking forward to being bigger and better this year. You with me?

As always, thanks so very much for reading. I love you for real. xo - Ash

P.S. I don’t have many outfit details today because this outfit is a mix of old and new. The faux fur is FashionNova, the turtleneck is Shein, the skirt is from my sister (she got it at a boutique here in NYC) and the boots are some oldies but goodies from Nine West. I can’t remember where I purchased the necklace, I think it actually might be a hand-me-down from my mom. Hope you enjoy the look! ;)

P.P.S. I told this story on my IG story but I took these photos myself and as I was shooting, a lady walked past me with her friends. She doubled-back and handed me a card, telling me they were just leaving church service and that I should come check it out next Sunday. I really think she was thinking in her head “baby, stop taking pictures and bring your butt to church.” LOLOLOLOLOL. Excuse me ma’am, I talk to God everyday. Don’t do me! ha
